Mountain Line is governed by a seven-member volunteer board of directors. Directors are appointed by the City of Missoula and Missoula County. All appointments shall be four years, or, in the event of a vacancy, the appointment shall be for the unexpired term. A staggered appointment schedule is in place to provide for the expiration of no more than two terms each year.
Applications for Board of Directors positions are available in the City of Missoula Mayor’s office, 435 Ryman Street, and the Office of the Missoula County Commissioners, 200 West Broadway Street.

Board and Committee Meetings
All meetings are held in the Mountain Line Administrative Building at 1221 Shakespeare Street unless otherwise noted. Board meetings are held at noon. Finance Committee and Planning Committee meetings are held at 11 a.m.
Meeting agendas are posted 48 hours before the scheduled meeting time. Past board meeting minutes are posted after being approved by the board, usually approximately one month after the meeting time listed. We do not post draft minutes.
