Route 4 Detour at Highton and Hwy 200

Due to construction, Route 4 buses will detour along Peacock Street on Thursday, May 25. Highton Street stops will be closed. The inbound bus stop at Speedway and Peacock will move across the street to the northeast corner of the intersection (pictured in green on the map below).

Route 3 Construction Detours Begin May 22

During water main construction on North 6th Street, beginning May 22, Route 3 buses will detour along Stoddard and Holmes Streets. The bus stop at Worden and 6th Street will be closed. Front & Higgins Route 6 Outbound Stop Closed

The outbound Route 6 stop at Front Street and Higgins Avenue is temporarily closed due to nearby construction. Please see the Transit app for updated directions.

Southgate Mall Stops Reopen

Southgate Mall bus stops have reopened as of Friday, April 28, after construction detours. Please see the Transit app for up-to-date bus stop and schedule information.

Modified Route 1 and 2 Schedules Begin April 16

Due to ongoing staffing shortages, temporary changes to Route 1 and Route 2 weekday schedules will begin Monday, April 16.

Buses will run every 20 minutes, which may affect some route connections at the Downtown Transfer Center.

Construction Closure at Arthur & E. Central 4/11-4/12

The intersection of Arthur Avenue and East Central Avenue will be closed during city water main construction work on Tuesday, April 11, and Wednesday, April 12, affecting inbound and outbound bus stops at that intersection. Nearby bus stops on South Avenue should remain open.

Weekday Service Reduction on Routes 8 and 12

Due to a continuing staffing shortage, Route 8 and 12 buses will be running with reduced weekday service beginning Monday, April 3.

Route 8 Outbound buses will depart from the UM Music Building hourly from 6:54 a.m. to 8:54 a.m. and from 10:24 a.m. to 8:24 p.m.

Route 8 Inbound buses will depart from Community Hospital hourly from 6:20 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. and from 9:50 a.m. to 7:50 p.m.

Route 12 Outbound buses will depart from the Downtown Transfer Center hourly from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and from 5:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Route 12 Inbound buses will depart from 55th & Gharrett at 6 a.m., hourly from 6:58 a.m. to 12:58 p.m., from 2:28 p.m. to 4:28 p.m., and from 5:43 p.m. to 8:43 p.m.

Route 4 Inbound Stop Temporarily Moved

Due to road conditions, the Route 4 inbound bus stop at Silvertip Apartments on West Broadway will be temporarily relocated approximately 150 feet away to the next utility pole (heading towards Missoula).

Route 4 service will continue normally.

Route 12 Detoured Due to Weather

Because of inclement weather, the Route 12 is now detoured and will not be traveling up Pattee Canyon Rd, Whitaker Dr, High Park Way, upper Gharrett St, or 23rd Ave.

You can still catch the Route 12 on 39th St, and on Gharrett St between 39th St and Briggs St. This detour will only last during inclement weather.

February 20th Presidents’ Day/Adjusted Schedule

Mountain Line will be running on a Sunday schedule for the holiday on February 20th.
